Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is among the most popular treks in Nepal. Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is an amazing walk that incorporates diverse landscape, culture, and wildlife. This is probably the best trek that literally brings you face to face with some of the highest mountain peaks over 8000m from the very start of the trek. Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a perfect trekking for those looking for moderate-difficult trek that offers the most spectacular and close up view of Mt. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri. Beautiful local villages, locals, their culture, the exotic flora and fauna, rivers, high cascading beautiful waterfalls are the other major highlights of this beautiful trek. There are also some hot springs where you can relax and heal your body and aching muscles while trekking.

Mount Annapurna (8091m) of Nepal is the 10th highest mountain in the world and trek to its base camp at 4130m/13549ft height offers the 360-degree view of Annapurna 1 (8091m), Annapurna South (7273m), the Glacier Dome, Gangapurna (7454m), the unclimbed Fang (7647m), and the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhare (6997m). Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a classic tea house trek and trekking to Annapurna Base Camp is a great opportunity to experience more of Annapurna Conservation Area which is the home to 1,226 species of flowering plants, 102 mammals, 474 birds, 33 reptiles and 22 amphibians.

We organise Annapurna base camp trek all around the year but again Autumn (September to November) and Spring (March to May) are the best times to trek to Annapurna Base camp as it is warm and sunny during this period and you can enjoy with outstanding mountain views.

Day to day Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu - Group meeting (1,400 m)

    On your arrival at the Kathmandu airport one of our airport representatives will receive you and transfer you to the chosen hotel. After hotel check-in, you will be free for your own activities such as a taking shower or relaxation at the hotel. After that there will be short pre-trip meeting where we introduce you with your guide , porter and brief about the trip. Overnight at a hotel. No meals included.


  • Day 02: Travel to Pokhara (900 m) in a Tourist Bus - 7 hours

    Meet you at the hotel at 6:15 am and we walk to tourist bus station. The bus for Pokhara departs at 7:00 am. It is a beautiful 7 hours drive. Afternoon arrival in Pokhara, hotel check-in and you will be free for relaxation after the long drive. Evening short walk around Phewa Lake. Overnight at a hotel. Breakfast included.


  • Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) - 4 hours

    Breakfast in the hotel and we take an hour drive to Nayapul and 15 minutes walk to beautiful village of Birethanti. From here we follow the trail that goes through the beautiful villages. Today we will be walking about 4 hours which is relatively easy. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast included.


  • Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) - 6 hours

    Breakfast and we continue our second day trek. It starts with the steep climb to Ulleri at an altitude of 2,070 m. We stop here for short break and we follow the trail that ascends more gently from here. It is a beautiful walk from here to the village of Ghorepani (2,840 m). We walk through the beautiful villages of Banthanti at 2,250 m and Nangethanti at 2,460 m. The fine forests of oak and rhododendrons is also the highlights of today's walk. Overnight at a guesthouse. No meals included.


  • Day 05: Walk up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) - 6 hours

    Early in the morning we walk to Poon Hill at an altitude of 3,210 m. Visit to Poon Hill is one of the major highlights of this trek as it is probably the best point that offers the best view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. After spending an hour and taking beautiful photos, we walk back to our lodge for breakfast and after that we continue our walk to the village of Tadapani (2,610 m). Today's walk be bit longer that goes through the forests of pine and rhododendron, towards Deurali (2,960 m) where we stop for short break and then we continue our walk descending to the Banthanti, then turn off to Tadapani.


  • Day 06: Trek to Chomrong (2,140 m) - 5 hours

    Breakfast and we continue our walk to beautiful village of Chommrong at elevation of 2,140m. Our today's walk starts with a steep downhill through rhododendron forests down to Kimrong Khola and the trail eases as we reach the Gurjung village. We will arrive in Chomrong village for our lunch. Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 07: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) - 6 hours

    Breakfast and we start our day. First part of the trail drops down to the Chomrong Khola then we start climbing to Khuldighar at 2,380 m. From here to the village of Bamboo (2,335m), We have a very pleasant walk through the untouched beautiful forest of oak and rhododendron. From the Bamboo the track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to Himalaya Hotel (2,680m) Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) - 6 hours

    Breakfast and we leave for Annapurna Base Camp. We start our walk with short climbing until we reach Hinko cave. From here we follow the trail that goes through the village of Deurali and takes us to Machapuchare Base Camp (3,480m). We take our lunch here and later we walk to Annapurna Base Camp which is totally surrounded by high mountains and it offers the amazing and spectacular views of mountain scenery. Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 09: Trek back to Bamboo Village.

    After enjoying beautiful sunrise view over the Himalayas, we go for breakfast and we prepare for our today's walk. From Annapurna Base Camp walk back to Bamboo village and we follow the same trail. It is around 6 hours beautiful walk. Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 10: Trek to Jhinu Village and Enjoy Hot Spring.

    We follow the same trail until Chommrong. From Chomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu hot spring, where you can bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 11: Trek to Deurali.

    Breakfast and we continue our walk to Deurali Village. It is a beautiful village that offers amazing view of the mountains from the Annapurna. Overnight at Lodge.


  • Day 12: Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara.

    It is our last day walk which we start after breakfast. Today we walk about 3 hours and it is downhill. We end our walk at Phedi village. From there we drive back to our hotel in Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel.


  • Day 13: Free day in Pokhara.

    Today you will have a free time in Pokhara for your own activities and relaxation. You can go for shopping, walk around lake side, go to massage. Overnight at Hotel.


  • Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu.

    Breakfast and we travel back to Kathmandu which is about 7 hours drive. Arrival in Kathmandu at the afternoon, hotel check in and you will be free for last minute shopping around Thamel. Overnight at Hotel.
